What is Young Adults?
Our YA group is a vibrant community of young adults in Southeastern CT who are dedicated to deepening their spiritual journey with God.
Our community includes both college students and working professionals, all united by a common desire for genuine fellowship and a fervent commitment to embracing the fullness of God’s plan for their lives. If your heart beats with the same passion, we extend a warm invitation for you to join us.
Our gatherings are tailor-made for individuals who seek to infuse their lives with purpose and are excited about exploring the boundless possibilities that God has in store. Your presence at this meeting could begin an inspiring chapter in your spiritual growth.
And, keep an eye out for our regional YA meetings called Overflow. We will be excited to include you.
When does the YA Group meet?
Our YA group meets weekly at Jake’s house (and other host homes nearby) every Thursday evening at 6:30PM. Send us a message if you are interested in attending.
And guess what? We’re not just about the regular stuff. We link up with other awesome New England young adults like you for retreats, fun activities, and mission opportunities all year round. We call it Overflow. If you’re interested, just let us know, and we’ll be sure to fill you in on all the plans. Can’t wait to have you on board!
What if I attend another church?
It’s awesome to see you staying true to your church – keep it up, and let God keep using you there! We also have a YA group in our church. However, Overflow is a bit different – it’s way more than just Community Baptist. Overflow is a group of young adults in New England who are serious about their journey with Jesus Christ.
If you’re within driving range of SE CT, come join us for our weekly Bible study at one of our homes every Thursday night. And hey, if you’re a bit farther out, keep your eyes peeled for Overflow events and other chances to connect with us through fellowship, worship, and missions. Stay tuned!

Overflow Worship Events
Join us for a time of meaningful worship, prayer, and focus on a selected Scripture passage. Come expecting to experience the love of Christ as we fix our attention on His worthiness.

Overflow Retreat | Chester, CT
Hey, if you’re a young adult – just like us – and your connection with God is the real deal, then mark your calendar for this. Our Overflow Retreat happens at an incredible spot in Chester, CT, right in the heart of things for most of us in southern New England.
Now, let’s talk about why this retreat is a game-changer. It’s not your typical get-together – we’re keeping it tight-knit with around 40 of us, all in the same boat. No guest speakers here. We lead the way in worship, study, and discussion. Friday night and Saturday are maxed. Yes, we’re all about having a blast, but there’s more. Our aim is to lift each other up, pushing to grow closer to Christ and fully embrace the Kingdom opportunities that are right in front of us. Ready to dive in?

Overflow Regional Mission Trip | Oct. 28-29
Overflow is heading to Massachusetts! Just 20 minutes from Boston sits the town of Framingham where we will team up with our friends at Gathering Place Church for the purpose of spreading God’s good news. Join us as we seek to not only encourage this church with our support but seek to live out our calling as lights to the world around us, particularly New England. We know this will be transformational for all of us.
